Dear Parents and Students,
Physics is the study of motion and the energy that moving objects possess. The remainder of this school year will be spent investigating and developing an understanding of the properties of motion. Students will achieve this by combining motion lab activities with theory and mathematics. At the completion of the unit students will

1. Use Newton’s Laws to predict the motion of objects Apply the Laws of Conservation Of Energy and Momentum to predict and describe motion.
2. Apply the Law of Conservation of Energy to the production of heat through motion.
3. Describe and identify the types of energy waves.
4. Identify the relationship between magnetic and electrical phenomena and their practical uses.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of the above through experimentation and careful investigation.
I have read the Spring Physics Syllabus and am aware of the focus of this semester
